Celebrity Spotlight: Zouk Artist Fanny J

Fanny Jacques-Andre-Flirty, better known under the name of Fanny J is a zouk singer from French Guiana. Born in Cayenne after a family of six children, Fanny J is passionate from a young age for music. The young woman began her career in the 2000s Fanny J participates in the competition “Podium Revelation” without parental consent and won with the song “My All” by Mariah Carey. In 2006, Fanny J is contacted by the songwriter and producer Warren.The artist wrote her first song “Anchored to your port”. With this title, Fanny J is propelled to the front of the stage. That same year, the young woman left Guyana and moved to Limoges to continue his studies.

While studying, Fanny J makes round trip between Limoges and Paris to prepare for the release of his first album “You Men.” In 2007, the first album of Fanny J, “You Men” was released in stores. After, the young singer landed a contract with Warner Music, which reissued his album. In 2009, Fanny J gave his first concert in Guyana.For this album the star receives three awards including the SACEM Prize for best actress. In 2010, the young star continues its momentum in December 2010 and released his second album, “Woman of Secrets”. The latter is very well received by the public. Finally, in 2013, Fanny J joins the singers and Lynnsha Louisy Joseph to sing a cover of the famous pipe “Maldon” of Zouk Machine.
