In the past few days, our team at Opa has been diligently piecing together information regarding the mysterious circumstances surrounding Haitian party promoter, Mr. Robenson’s disappearance. Scheduled to depart Haiti for New York on August 17th to celebrate his son’s birthday in Philadelphia, Robenson’s plans were thwarted by Hurricane Dean, which disrupted all direct flights. His last known communication was with his son’s mother, informing her of his rerouted trip to Puerto Rico.

Since then, details about Robenson’s whereabouts have become increasingly murky. Conflicting reports have emerged, with some sources close to Robenson suggesting that he was arrested upon his arrival in Puerto Rico. However, specifics regarding the charges remain unclear due to varying accounts.

Our investigation revealed that Robenson’s wife urgently wired $1,500 to a lawyer in Puerto Rico to represent him at a court hearing initially scheduled for August 29th. The hearing was subsequently postponed to September 11th, and no bail has been set, indicating that Robenson remains in custody. Despite these efforts, official records remain elusive; searches under the name Robenson Joseph have yielded no results, suggesting it may not be his legal name.

This situation has led to a profound sense of frustration and concern among those close to Robenson, who have historical ties both personally and professionally. The lack of concrete information and the apparent secrecy surrounding his legal identity only deepen the mystery. As we continue to seek clarity, the story of Robenson’s unexpected detour in Puerto Rico remains a compelling narrative of disruption, confusion, and the search for truth.
