Stanley Jean Gilles, has resurfaced from his supposed “hiatus” to address investors. In a Vimeo video released on February 28th, 2024, he pledges to repay his clients and blames the delay on relocating his company from New Jersey to New York and switching his payment processor. He assures everyone they’ll be paid within two to three weeks, with no losses. He also name-drops his ambassadors, Maestro Richie, Pipo, Tafa, and Strings, claiming they’re the messengers but don’t actually get a say in his decisions.

If you look closely, you’ll notice his Pinocchio-like nose in full effect. It appears he only spoke up because these ambassadors, who have been catching heat for remaining silent, wanted him to do something. “Ambassador Jean Gilles Capitol, Maestro Richie, Pipo, Tafa, and Strings delivered the message, but they are neither involved nor included in any decisions.”

Breaking Down His Statement

  1. He’s Not Sorry
The “apology” came with a laugh, which looked more smug than remorseful.

  2. He’s Way Too Nonchalant
Despite being responsible for people’s life savings, he acts like it’s no big deal. That attitude could prove costly for him, his team, and the reputations of those who endorsed him.

  3. He Didn’t ‘Just’ Move From NJ to NY
We discovered proof that he and his crew have been at 99 Park Avenue in Manhattan for at least six months. According to business registry data, JEAN GILLES CAPITAL LLC (0450729966) has been registered in Irvington, New Jersey, as an LLC since November 17, 2021. As previously stated he is not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) SEC’s EDGAR database or licensed to operate in New York.

He also insists there’s a new payment processor, but as far as we can tell, it’s always been TD Bank. We located a TD Bank deposit portal on his website and checks allegedly drawn on TD Bank accounts. Meanwhile, he’s busy scrubbing the digital realm, erasing videos and photos of himself and his staff. Sound like an exit plan? If you’re waiting for a refund, you might need to exhale now.

What Might Have Happened?

  1. Flagged by the Feds
If he’s under federal investigation, they may have frozen his accounts. Victims might eventually get something back, but only after a lengthy, complicated process. Once federal authorities are done, the IRS could step in, and that’s never a picnic. Even victims might be scrutinized for large-sum deposits.

  2. He’s Cashed Out and Planning His Retirement
This is the age-old Ponzi scheme script, collect money, stall with vague updates, then vanish.

How the Feds Usually Handle These Cases

When the government suspects a Ponzi scheme, they tend to move quickly. They freeze assets, issue subpoenas, and talk to everyone from organizers to investors. Even unknowing participants face a mountain of paperwork. These investigations can take months or years before any restitution emerges.

Reporting Potential Scams

If you believe you’ve been scammed, or know someone who has, contact the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at 1-877-382-4357 (FTC-HELP) or reportfraud.ftc.gov. You can also file a complaint with the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) at ic3.gov or your local FBI field office.

As previously by OpaMusic.com

A Brooklyn resident named Stanley Jean Gilles allegedly used key Haitian music influencers to reel in unsuspecting investors for what appears to be a Ponzi scheme. The pitch was, “Invest a few thousand and watch it double or triple.” Unsurprisingly, many are now out tens of thousands of dollars, with no sign of payback. JeanGillesCapital.com is still up, but clarity is nonexistent.

Celebrity Endorsements
He’s linked to Tafa Mi Soleil, Georgy Mettelus, members of a string band (Jacky Ambroise and Philippe Augustin), Jean Richard Herard and Edersse Stanis of Klass, and social media influencer KPS. Their involvement gave him a veneer of legitimacy, though there’s no proof they knew of any wrongdoing. This isn’t new for Stanley, he once launched a short-lived food delivery app, 100% Haiti LLC, recruiting Haitian rapper Izolan as a spokesperson.

The Paper Trail
When a tipster asked us to dig into “Jean Gilles Capital,” we found almost nothing. We did find 100% Haiti LLC, formed on May 5, 2020, then quietly closed. He also bagged a $20,000 PPP loan that was forgiven. Looking for actual finance credentials? Don’t hold your breath.

Lessons Learned
Folks lost anywhere from $14,000 to $70,000 each. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Always do your due diligence, no matter who’s pitching it. Legitimate investment firms are registered with regulators, staffed by qualified professionals, and offer realistic returns.

The Big Question
Is Stanley taking notes from “The Wolf of Wall Street”? Will he show up to repay everyone, or vanish with the cash? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, consider this your cautionary tale, in the world of easy money, you often end up empty-handed.

Stanley Jean Gilles, parèt tout ko li ankò apre yon ti “poz” pou li adrese envestisè yo. Nan yon videyo li pibliye sou Vimeo, 28 fevriye 2024, li pwomèt li pral remèt tout kliyan li yo lajan yo, li di rezon reta a se paske li te deplase konpayi li soti New Jersey pou ale New York epi li te oblije chanje procesè peman. Li asire tout moun yo pral resevwa lajan yo (san pedi yonn) anvan de a twa semèn. Li site tou non anbasadè li yo, Maestro Richie, Pipo, Tafa, ak Strings, pandan li deklare se yo ki te pote mesaj la, men yo pa pran okenn desizyon, selon sa li vle nou kwè.

Sanble li te pran lapawòl sitou paske anbasadè li yo t ap resevwa presyon pou di yon bagay, kòm anpil moun te konn mande poukisa y ap rete an silans.  Li mete sa tou klè: “Ambassador Jean Gilles Capitol, Maestro Richie, Pipo, Tafa, ak Strings te pote mesaj la, men yo pa patisipe ni pa resevwa okenn desizyon.”

Analiz Deklarasyon Li

  1. Li Pa Regrete
“Eskiz” li a te vini ak ri, ki sanble plis ak mizik plezi pase regrè vre.

  3. Li Pa Fenk Sot Soti New Jersey pou New York

Nou dekouvri yon seksyon sou sit entènèt li pou depo TD Bank, epi nou wè tou chèk ki soti nan kont TD Bank.

Petèt, envestisè yo ap jwenn lajan yo tounen, men se pa kounye a.

  2. Li Ranmase Ase Lajan epi l Ap Pare Pou Pran Retrèt Li
Se konsa anpil ponzi konn fini: moun lan ranmase lajan, fè promès dife, epi disparèt.

Kòman Leta Federal Konbat Ka Sa Yo

Lè gouvènman federal gen dout pou yon ponzi oswa magouy envestisman, yo aji vit: bloke lajan, voye manda tribinal, epi entèvyouwe tout moun, soti nan oganizatè jouk viktim.

Ou ka tou depoze plent sou sit FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) nan ic3.gov, oswa pran kontak ak biwo FBI ki pi pre w.

Yon Gade Pi Fon sou Stanley

Dapre OpaMusic.com, Stanley Jean Gilles, ki rete Brooklyn, ta sèvi ak figi enpòtan nan mizik ayisyen pou atire moun ki san eksperyans, epi fè yo mete lajan nan sa ki sanble ak yon ponzi scheme. Jounen jodi a, anpil moun pedi gwo sòm lajan (kèk moun jiska plis pase 70,000 dola), epi sit JeanGillesCapital.com toujou fonksyone, men repons klè pa egziste.

Soutyen Vedèt
Li lye ak Tafa Mi Soleil, Georgy Mettelus, manm yon gwoup strings (Jacky Ambroise ak Philippe Augustin), Jean Richard Herard ak Edersse Stanis ki soti nan Klass, epi enfliyansè sou rezo sosyo KPS.

Gwo Kesyon an
Èske Stanley ap pran ekzànp sou “The Wolf of Wall Street”? Èske l ap retounen pou ranbouse tout moun, oswa l ap sove ak tout lajan an? Se tan k ap di nou. Pandanstan, konsidere sa tankou yon avètisman: lajan ki parèt fasil konn disparèt menm jan.

Daprè done rejis biznis, JEAN GILLES CAPITAL LLC (0450729966) anrejistre nan Irvington, New Jersey, kòm yon LLC depi 17 novanm 2021.
