KREYOLFEST Announces Lineup Change: ROCKFAM Excluded from Festival

New York, NY – May 22, 2009 — As the countdown to KREYOLFEST approaches the one-month mark, festival preparations are in full swing. However, the organizers, The Haitian Times, have announced a significant change to the lineup that festival-goers should be aware of. The popular band ROCKFAM LAME A will no longer be part of the festival’s roster.

The decision to remove ROCKFAM from the lineup was not made lightly. The change comes after The Haitian Times was informed by representatives of Barikad Crew that they preferred not to share the stage with ROCKFAM. Despite extensive efforts by KREYOLFEST organizers to address and resolve the issue, a satisfactory solution could not be reached.

The Haitian Times, who have been instrumental in securing Barikad Crew’s participation at KREYOLFEST, had initially confirmed their performance a year ago. When ROCKFAM’s representatives later requested inclusion in the festival, the organizers were unaware of any previous conflicts between the two bands. As the festival date drew nearer and in light of the ongoing difficulties, The Haitian Times decided to honor the original agreement with Barikad Crew.

The revised lineup for KREYOLFEST will now feature an impressive array of artists including Do-la, Model Kompa, Kreyol La, CaRiMi, Nu Look, Djakout Mizik, Barikad Crew, Djarara, and Brother HI. Despite this change, the festival promises to deliver an exciting and vibrant experience for attendees.

The Haitian Times remains committed to presenting a top-tier festival and appreciates the continued support of fans and participants. For further updates on KREYOLFEST, stay tuned to official announcements from The Haitian Times.
