Port-au-Prince, Haiti – August 28, 2024 – Renowned Rap Kreyòl group Rockfam Lame A is preparing to celebrate a major milestone—20 years of contributions to the Haitian music industry. On November 18th, 2024, the group will mark two decades of making a lasting impact on Rap Kreyòl, gaining recognition both in Haiti and internationally for their unique sound and message.
To honor this occasion, Rockfam will release a new album featuring 20 original tracks, capturing their growth as artists while maintaining the essence that has defined their career. This album is a tribute to their loyal fans and a reflection of their ongoing dedication to Haitian culture and the Rap Kreyòl genre.
In celebration of their 20-year journey, Rockfam Lame A will also embark on an international tour in 2025, with performances in the United States, Haiti, and Europe. This tour will give fans the opportunity to experience Rockfam’s signature energy and passion live, bringing their powerful performances to audiences around the world.
Rockfam will also be representing Haiti at the Labor Day Parade on Eastern Parkway in New York City on Monday, September 2, 2024. This important event showcases Caribbean culture, and Rockfam’s presence will highlight their pride in their heritage and their commitment to elevating Haitian music on the global stage.
Milestones and Career Highlights
Their first major performance at the RapRocher Festival in 2005 helped solidify their reputation, and they’ve been a driving force in the genre ever since. Rockfam’s current lineup includes 12 members, including Atros, Toppy X, Killa Boss, Big Jim, Pikan, Gray Nouvo Ne, Rosevelt Knaggs, Masta Preacha, Jah B, Fatal, Dug G, and Staël. Former member Kizzy also played significant roles in shaping the group’s early success.
