King Kino Arrested Outside Brasserie Creole

King Kino, the popular Haitian musician, was arrested last night outside the club Brasserie Creole after his regular Friday night performance. The arrest occurred following an altercation with police officers who were issuing parking tickets to cars illegally parked in the area.

Witnesses reported that Kino exited the club and confronted the officers, disputing the tickets they were writing. The situation escalated when Kino got into his car, prompting the officers to run a check on his license plates. A sergeant was then called to the scene. Upon the sergeant’s arrival, a brief exchange occurred, after which Kino was read his rights and taken into custody.

There are speculations surrounding the arrest. Some sources suggest that Kino claimed he was arrested due to outstanding tickets associated with “Phantoms Productions,” a store previously located on Flatbush and Glenwood Rd in New York. The store, reportedly registered under Kino’s name, had been moved further down the block a few months ago. According to a source close to Kino, former band members who continued to operate the store accrued numerous tickets for violations, which allegedly went unpaid. As the story develops, fans and followers of King Kino await further details on the situation.

As many may already have learned, King Kino was detained at Brasserie Creole, in the
morning of Saturday, January 29th for an unresolved traffic violation, which he took
care of awhile back but was still not updated in the system. King Kino would like to thank everyone for their concern about his whereabouts; especially the ones who came and spend the day at the precinct and the court house waiting for his release.

King Kino is currently at home resting after spending close to 10 hours in custody.
This is a county of law and order that we must all abide by them, no matter what your
status is. King Kino is no difference when it comes to the law.

There are many rumors surrounding the reasons for his arrest. Let me make it clear, there is
nothing more than what I’ve stated in the first paragraph. The court record in this
country is a matter of public record, if any one needs further information, feel free to
contact my office at the above number or they can verify for themselves at the court
records in the district that this matter was brought to.

Once again, Kino would like to extend his gratitude to all the well wishers, and supporters
during this few uncertain hours. He’ll be waiting for everyone this Friday at his
gig at Brasserie Creole. By popular demand, Tan Tan will also be part of the line-up.
