During a recent event featuring CaRiMi and Nickenson Prud’homme, a disturbance was reported involving an overly inebriated patron at Marabou Cafe. Witnesses described the individual as disruptive, removing his shirt and bumping into others, though not violently. The situation escalated when security was notified and intervened. According to onlookers, the response from the security team was excessively forceful; the man, reportedly not resisting, was continually struck by the guards. He allegedly questioned the guards about the necessity of the physicality since he was not retaliating.

This incident is not isolated; previous events at Marabou Cafe have similarly seen accusations of undue aggression from security personnel. In one instance, a musician was attacked, leading some to speculate about a lack of proper communication with security, although when this issue was raised, the response was dismissive.

In light of these recurring issues, there are growing calls for Marabou Cafe’s management to review and potentially overhaul their security protocols. I plan to contact Kaliko, the owner of Marabou Cafe, to seek further comments and to understand what measures, if any, are being contemplated to address these concerns and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons.
