Haitian musician Mikaben, also known as Michael Benjamin, tragically passed away following a medical incident during a live performance in Paris. The 41-year-old singer was on stage with the popular Haitian group Carimi at the Accor Arena on Saturday when the incident occurred. Despite immediate emergency services intervention, Mikaben could not be revived.

The Accor Arena confirmed the devastating news via a Twitter statement, expressing deep sorrow and extending heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this extremely difficult time.

Mikaben’s wife, Vanessa Fanfan, expressed her profound grief on Instagram, stating she had lost her “other half” and pleading for strength to endure the immense pain of her loss.

Renowned musician Wyclef Jean also paid tribute to Mikaben, referring to him as a king and lamenting his premature departure with a post on Twitter that included a video of the two artists together.

Mikaben, the son of celebrated Haitian singer Lionel Benjamin, was a prolific artist known for his compositions, productions, and performances.
