In a significant boost to Haiti’s thriving music industry, telecommunications giant Digicel has announced new partnerships with two of Haiti’s most promising young musicians, Michael Benjamin, better known as Mikaben, and Sébastien Pierre. This move follows Digicel’s history of successful collaborations with major musical groups like Djakout Mizik, Krezi, Nu Look, Rockfam, and Carimi.

Mikaben, a well-loved figure in both the local and diaspora communities, has been a part of several Digicel-sponsored events. With two solo albums already under his belt, “Vwayaj” and “MIKA”, Mikaben is currently focused on his solo career. He is in the process of producing his eagerly awaited third album and is also setting up his own production studio.

Sébastien Pierre, who burst onto the scene as the champion of the 2008 Stars national talent search, has distinguished himself as not just a fleeting talent but as a formidable artist with genuine skill and potential. His debut album is scheduled for release next summer, alongside his second music video.

“Sébastien is incredibly talented, but talent alone doesn’t guarantee a successful career. With Digicel’s partnership, he will receive the necessary support and guidance to truly shine in the music industry,” commented Sandro Ravelin, Sébastien’s manager.

These partnerships underscore Digicel’s commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering the growth of Haiti’s cultural expressions on the global stage. As the country continues to produce musical talents, collaborations such as these are pivotal for shaping the future of Haiti’s musical landscape.
