Miami, FL – June 14, 2009 — For the first time ever, Barikad Crew is set to introduce their Creole Hip-Hop to the vibrant city of Miami. The groundbreaking performance promises to immerse a new audience in their socially conscious lyrics, thought-provoking themes, and infectious beats. After a successful run in New York City and extensive touring across their native Haiti, Barikad Crew is ready to take Miami by storm.

Despite a challenging year marked by the tragic loss of several band members in a car accident, Barikad Crew has emerged resilient and stronger than ever. Their hits, including “Welcome to Haiti,” “Met Kapot,” and “Se Trip Nap Trip,” have solidified their place in the Haitian music industry. Now, the band is eager to captivate Miami with their distinctive Creole Hip-Hop sound and dynamic stage presence.

The highly anticipated event will take place for one night only at BONGOS CUBAN CAFÉ, located at 601 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami. This prime venue, situated just steps away from Bicentennial Park—home to the annual Haitian Compas Festival—promises an unforgettable evening.

The show will feature a stellar lineup of Haitian Hip-Hop artists, including the trailblazing Black Dada & Red Eyez, known for their hit “I Am Zoe,” which has been a fixture on the airwaves. Also gracing the stage will be the lyrical powerhouse Mecca AKA Grimo, the charismatic Haitian Fresh, and several special guest appearances that are sure to leave the audience in awe.

The event will be hosted by prominent figures in the Haitian music industry: Papa Jube, Buggah D. Govanah, and J. Mignon. The beats will be spun by top DJs, including DJ Polomix, DJ Bobby Jamz, and DJ Griot, ensuring a night of non-stop music and energy.

With such an impressive lineup and a venue that embodies the spirit of Miami, this event is set to be a landmark moment for Creole Hip-Hop. Don’t miss the chance to experience this powerful movement firsthand and witness the electrifying performance of Barikad Crew.
