NEW YORK, NY. – April 18th, 2022 – Opa Gala Awards, whose aim is to recognize the achievements of artists, businesses, organizations, and community leaders committed to enriching the Haitian community and culture; is slated to return this year for its fourth edition. In keeping with tradition, on Saturday, October 29th, 2022, Opa Gala Awards will honor three distinguished gentlemen with the gala’s most prestigious awards: The Living Legend, Lifetime Achievement, and the Trailblazer Award. The honorees include Jean Brutus Derissaint, who will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award; Shedly Abraham with the Living Legend Award; and a special tribute to Yves Joseph and Tabou Combo who will receive the Trailblazer Award.

Opa Gala Awards is a star-studded event which honors a selected group of individuals that have brought honor and dignity to the arts and our community. This year, Opa Gala Awards will engage guests in a beautiful 30 awards presentation, while dining on a large array of traditional Haitian cuisine and assorted desserts.
