Last night, Bel Jaz made their official New York City debut at S.O.B.S., performing under a pleasant weather backdrop. The band took the stage at 1:30 AM after experiencing some sound issues, but that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the eager partygoers curious to experience this new entrant in the Haitian Music Industry (HMI).
Throughout the night, Bel Jaz delivered an energetic and confident performance. Pipo’s voice was notably consistent, enhancing the band’s vibrant set. They wrapped up their performance at 3:30 AM after delivering crowd favorites like “Jadou,” “An nou fete,” “Ti Fozi,” “Ou fou pou li,” and “La femme de mon patron.”
Despite the strong performance and favorable weather, attendance was less than expected. Nevertheless, Bel Jaz demonstrated that they are a solid band with experienced musicians, promising exciting things for their future in the music scene.
