Prior to launching her musical career Neefah got her start by auditioning for the Brooklyn High School of the Arts; a specialized arts school where she majored in vocal music. When it comes to HIV and African-American women, good news doesn’t come as often as we would like. But a recent study conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gives us some hope: New HIV infections overall have gone down 20 percent with Black women having the steepest drop of all.
