Jameson Toussaint, known by his artist name G Bobby Bon Flo, was a popular Haitian hip-hop artist. Born on September 8 1985, G-Bobby first appeared in the Haitian music scene as part of his group Chalè Republic when they released the hit single “Ti Klé”. As a solo artist, Bon Flo quickly rose to fame though in 2008 when he released the single “Map Kanpe La” (I’ll Stand Righ Here), which was a response to one of Barikad Crew’s popular members: Fantom who had a hit titled “Deplase La” (Get Out of Here). A highly publicized lyrical beef between the 2 MCs followed and fans started taking sides. After Fantom answered G-Bobby and other MCs with the smash hit single “Men Nonm Lan” (Here’s The Man), G-Bobby dropped another track, “Presizyon” (Precision) that confirmed his status of one of the best rappers of the country . He quickly caught the attention of RKM Recordz and signed a 2-album deal with them. In 2009, he released his debut album “Pale Cho” to great success. After touring and promoting his debut album, he started recording his second album by the end of 2010 and throughout 2011. Unfortunately the artist died of an asthma attack on June 1st, 2011.
