Kenny Stinvil, known artistically as Kenny Haiti, is a Haitian singer born on June 26 in Saint-Marc, Haiti. The only child of his mother, Kenny tragically lost his father at a young age. His deep connection to his homeland is reflected not only in his love for Haitian cuisine, such as white rice with lalo, but also in his Afro-pop, dancehall, and reggae-infused music.
A passionate fan of FC Barcelona and Argentina’s national football team, Kenny initially aspired to a basketball career. When he left Haiti in 2007 to join his mother in Florida, he had dreams of playing in the NBA. However, he soon realized that his passion for music outweighed his sports ambitions. Reflecting on his path, Kenny has said, “I have always loved music. I chose to pursue it instead of joining the police… For basketball, it was a waste of time because I had already passed the age for a sports career.”
Kenny’s musical career took off in 2018 with the release of his first music video for the song “Jou Pa Nou”, which quickly gained over 1 million views on YouTube. This milestone marked the beginning of his growing presence in the Haitian music scene, where he gained recognition for hits such as “Sim Te Konnen,” “Renmen W’ A Lenfini,” and “Jou Pa Nou.”
Though he initially began with rap, Kenny discovered his potential as a singer and embraced a more melodic approach to his music. His career saw a turning point when he was approached for a collaboration with Haitian superstar Roody Roodboy. Following this, Kenny fully committed himself to music, even after losing two jobs, deciding to focus on what had once been his hobby but had become his passion.
Kenny’s musical career is now fully underway, and while he often performs in Florida, he is increasingly focused on building his fan base in Haiti. With a commitment to his listeners, Kenny Haiti is currently preparing to release more music, including a video for his single “Renmen W’ A Lenfini”, along with other upcoming tracks and albums.
His recent works include the following popular albums:
“Time to Shine” (2024)
“Versatile” (2022)
“Dous” (2021)
“Sa Fèm Mal” (2021)
“PYEM MARE” (2021)
Through his journey from aspiring basketball player to celebrated musician, Kenny Haiti is determined to leave a lasting impact on the Haitian music industry and bring joy to his ever-growing fanbase.
