Stichiz has debuted singles such as “Dangerous” which infuses rock, R&B, and hip hop along with powerful instrumentals and “An’Ale,” a tribute to her Haitian descent and heritage that has been deemed the #1 Haitian Flag Day Anthem, among other well-received songs, all original works by Stichiz.
Stichiz has an interesting story. Early in life, she was quite shy. At the time, her outlet consisted of journal writing and poetry about her childhood experiences. At the age of 9, however, she was discovered by her sister, Lace. Stichiz was a faithful listener of 99Jamz and caught all the exclusive songs, studying and practicing on the other kids at school. One day she was challenged by Lace; needless to say, things were never the same at home. The young vivacious talent was born and began her Hip Hop journey by battling men; fear was non-existent when she had the mic in her hand.
Stichiz has always had a heart for people, which has evolved into her role as a community activist. As a high school student, she was featured in the newspaper for being the founder of the Broward County High School Trips to the Polls. During her college years, she was the Promotion Director and Owl Radio’s hottest on-air personality, Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity member, Political Action Chair for the Fort Lauderdale NAACP Youth Council, later becoming the Youth and College State President, all while being an ‘A’ student. She continues to serve as the Youth Board Chair of the Broward Martin Luther King Celebration Committee and Chair of the yearly Teen Summit as well as a mentor for Women of Tomorrow.
Having co-presided many NAACP youth events in front of hundreds of people, Stichiz became adept at hosting events. She has become the number one choice in the South Florida area having hosted a range of events including BET’s Blaze the Stage Miami, the Broward County 2nd Annual Awards, DezignNation’s Fashion Play, FAU’s Harlem Globetrotters Fundraiser Pre-Show, and currently, the Crunk City Stay in School Tour. In 2011, Stichiz was named the Best Host of Broward County and the Best Lyricist, awards voted by her peers and supporters. This experience has paid off for her. She is currently a finalist to become the new host of BET’s 106 and Park Video Countdown Show.
An artist of multiple facets, she has been inspired by the tenacity of her mom, and influenced by the personable, loving nature of her dad demonstrated by the fierce dedication to her craft and the warmth with which she greets everyone she meets. Stichiz lives by the mantra, “Know Your Cost.” When asked to explain, she said, “Whatever you are into, know what you’re willing to do and not do. Whenever it exceeds your cost, it’s not that serious.”
