Leovins Mathurin is a 23-year-old drummer. He was born in the United States (Orlando Florida) but grew up in Montreal. He started playing drums on dishes when his mother was in the kitchen cooking, which did not bother his mother who was also already in music. When Leovins was 7 years old, he started playing in his father’s pastoral church, so his father sent him to music classes. Leovins was always watching following, Maestro Ritchie, Roro and Tico Pasquet.
Leovins and T-VICE met in a backyard while the band T-Vice came to play, and the young drummer also took advantage of a small demonstration. Thus, after the former drummer went to Chukito, who is a singer, the band guitarist did not hesitate to contact Leovins.
For about 3 to 4 months in the band, the new drummer did not hide his satisfaction. “We are a family and band abides by the contract, so I have time to study and practice.” says Radiology Diagnostic Student.
According to Leovins, he brought coolness to the band and came to destress people by putting good animation on the drums while playing. He not only gave but also received a lot from the band especially light for his musical career.
Leovins Mathurin, considers it a great thing for him to share the music scene with T-VICE. “When I was a kid, I used to watch these guys play. I have always loved Maestro Reynaldo, I have always said that I would like to do what he does while I play the drums. ”
After drumming, Leovins also plays the gong. He enjoys sports and plays football at Montreal College and is also a great businessman.
Leovins advises all young people who love music to be disciplined, self-respecting but especially go to school, learn a trade to make money before you enter or while you are in music.
