Jean Baptiste Louis grew up in a family of musicians. The nephew of the late Coupe Cloue, he developed a passion for the bass guitar and percussion almost as soon as he could walk. Of all the percussions, he decided that the drums were his favorite at the tender age of 5. Ever since then Jean Baptiste dreamed of playing in a professional band one day. His dreams started to come true in 2005 when he began to play the drums in church and for several gospel acts. He would eventually crossover into konpa music as a drummer for Stanley Toussaint aka Tantan followed by Bel Jazz. “Music is in my blood and I love konpa,”Jean Baptiste confesses. “I can’t see myself doing anything else.”
