Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti; gospel singer, songwriter and producer Roosevelt Jean-Noel was raised in a Christian family. Son of Pastor Raul and Mrs. Raul. Jean-Noel also known as “Ti Roos”, is one of 9 kids that are all equally talented musically. He started singing at 9 years of age. Aside from his talents, Roosevelt is also known for his personality. He is very funny, smart, generous. He loves to laugh and tell jokes, he also loves to make the impression of other people very well.
When Roosevelt realized that his true calling for God’s ministry was in music, he devoted himself in achieving more skills by attending music school and several other music seminars for further education. Therefore, he becomes not only a talented and skilled singer but also a multi-instrumentalist.He has been a member of countless groups and bands just to name a few: Bethesda, Mystere Divin, Alabanza, Jehud, Mahanaim. At a time where his talent in the gospel industry was very recognized in Haiti as well as the entire Caribbean with his first album “J’ai Retrouve”, something very sad occurred in his life which would totally change his musical career: In February 2004, Roosevelt lost his beloved mother.
This situation brought him into confusion and even made him lose his faith. Thus, he decided to switch from gospel to secular music. Throughout this move, Roosevelt had turned over and he went on being a member of Krezi Mizik and Harmonik. He had participated in countless albums and projects, work with the best of the best in the Haitian Music Industry. He also had the great opportunity to travel around the world and perform with famous artists and musical bands. However, joy and peace never filled his heart as he was subjected to so much deception, bad experiences and disappointments. Finally, he realized that was not God’s plan for his life; his true calling was to glorify the name of the Lord.
Therefore, since 2009, Roosevelt has found his way back to the Kingdom and now investing himself into the ministry. Roosevelt had his challenges that he had to face but despite all of his obstacles he still manages to make his fans happy and updated on him by putting songs on Facebook and on YouTube. In November 2013 Roosevelt released his second album ” Mwen sove” with the help of his old friends Charlson Duverne, Jean-Marie Papin and Wesly Derosier, Sylvio Jean-Louis. In 2015, He married his wife Shedly J. Jean-Noel and they have two beautiful daughters together. Now 2019, Roosevelt is working on his next album. His mission is to preach the gospel through singing and help others to come to Christ.
