Lesly “T-Doo” Charles started out as a drummer in Haiti with interest in all percussions. Many did not know of his skills as a gongist until he started to jam with bands on stage for fun. Impressed with his display of talent, popular konpa group Zenglen hired T-Doo for all of their international shows. More doors opened for T-Doo and he became a member of Neks, Gabel, Hangout, and Bel Jazz, earning numerous chances to perform at major festivals and concerts in many different countries. “When one door closes, another one opens,” expresses T-Doo. “I was destined to be a musician and I will always be one in konpa.”
