3 JES, a dynamic Miami-based band, was founded in April 2014 by three original members: vocalist Garley Cambry (Ti-G Bèl Vokal), keyboardist Cedson Eugène (Maestro Ced), and drummer Willi Anstral (Agi). The group quickly expanded to include a talented lineup of musicians: Winstin and Evans on guitars, Luvens on trumpet, Simon on gong, Stevenson on bass, Sebastian on saxophone, and Faustin (Tapaj) on drums. Together, they created a sound that resonated deeply with fans of the Haitian Music Industry (HMI).
The mission of 3 JES was clear from the start: to revitalize the Haitian Music Industry and elevate its presence on the global stage. Known for their vibrant energy and intricate arrangements, the band blended traditional Haitian rhythms with modern influences to craft a unique and engaging musical style.
3 JES is celebrated for songs like Fausse Accusation, Haiti Peyi M, Mwen Bouke, Peyi’m, and Sex Modern. Their performances, including memorable renditions of She’s a Boy and Mwen Bouke, captivated audiences at venues such as Club7 in Miami. Each performance reflected their commitment to preserving Haitian cultural heritage while exploring fresh, contemporary sounds.
Despite their promising beginnings and growing fan base, 3 JES faced challenges that led to their eventual disbandment. While no longer active as a group, their contributions to the HMI remain significant, and their music continues to be celebrated by fans worldwide.
Though 3 JES is no longer together, their impact on the Haitian music scene is undeniable. Their innovative approach and dedication to cultural preservation have left an indelible mark on the HMI. The members of 3 JES, both individually and collectively, have set a standard for artistry and passion that continues to inspire musicians within the Haitian community and beyond.
As a group that once symbolized the potential of Haitian music, 3 JES’s legacy lives on through their recordings and the memories they created for their fans. While the band may no longer perform together, their influence on the HMI will endure for years to come.
