Born in France and of Haitian descent, Fabiola Shyne has emerged as a dynamic and soulful presence in the Zouk and Konpa love genres. Deeply inspired by Haitian icons like Alan Cavé and Ti Manno, she also drew creative influence from international greats such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Céline Dion, and Michael Jackson, cultivating her passion for singing early on.
Her theatrical breakthrough came in a middle school production of Sister Act II, where she played Rita Watson, originally portrayed by Lauryn Hill. This experience cemented her love for the stage and set her on a path to musical expression.
Balancing her banking career with her musical ambitions, Fabiola reached out to acclaimed producer Daan Junior. Impressed by her evocative voice, songwriting talent, and charisma, he helped craft her debut album Mwen Love in 2013. The album features the standout track Naturellement, which resonated deeply with audiences and became a fan favorite that they still sing back at her performances.
Fabiola’s artistry extends beyond vocal strength as she integrates dance into her live performances, often choreographing routines alongside her professional choreographer brother. Her signature blend of hip hop infused choreography with Zouk and Kompa rhythms sets her stage presence apart.
Her music and performances have earned her acclaim both in the Caribbean and internationally from Paris’s Zénith to West African venues such as Burkina Faso and Togo, across North America in cities like Toronto, New York, New Jersey, and Miami, to the Antilles including Martinique and Guadeloupe, and back to her ancestral roots in Haiti.
Among her notable releases are Kité-m la in 2015, a deeply personal song produced with Daan Junior and Thierry Delannay whose music video has garnered hundreds of thousands of views, Nos défauts in 2019, continuing her independent artistic journey, Viv Lanmou in 2023, and Mérité in 2025 which showcase her evolving sound and creative growth.
