Emmanuel Obas is a Haitian musician, singer, songwriter, and activist known for his contributions to Haitian music and his advocacy for socio-political issues in Haiti. Born into a family with a rich artistic heritage, he is the younger brother of renowned musician Beethova Obas and the son of the late painter Charles Obas.

Throughout his career, Emmanuel has collaborated with various artists and has been involved in projects that highlight Haitian culture and address societal challenges. He is notably associated with the group Mizik-Mizik, a prominent band in the Haitian music scene.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Emmanuel Obas is actively engaged in community development and advocacy. He serves as the Executive Director and CEO of Ayiti Alaso, an organization dedicated to fostering socio-cultural and economic development in Haiti, as well as supporting the integration of Haitian-Americans and immigrants into American society. In this role, he guides efforts aimed at education, health, and agriculture, striving to improve the quality of life for Haitian communities both locally and globally.

Emmanuel’s commitment to Haiti extends to his activism. In May 2022, during an appearance on the program “Le Rendez-vous avec Volcy Assad,” he expressed deep concerns about the prevailing insecurity in Haiti. He criticized the authorities’ laxity and urged all sectors to acknowledge their failures in addressing the nation’s challenges. His outspoken stance reflects his dedication to advocating for change and his desire to see a more secure and prosperous Haiti.
