Nu Look Double Booking… Again!

Nu Look, a popular band in the Haitian Music Industry, finds itself embroiled in a booking conflict that has left promoters and fans puzzled and frustrated. The band reportedly accepted a $5,000 deposit from two different promoters for performances scheduled on the same date, June 14th. The controversy has sparked concerns about the band’s booking practices and communication.

The situation came to light when advertisements began circulating in both New Jersey and Haiti, each promoting a Nu Look performance on the aforementioned date. The promoters from New Jersey shared their experience, detailing a transaction with Fanfan Senatus, a close associate of Nu Look’s Gazman. According to the promoters, they were assured by Gazman that it was appropriate to hand the deposit to Senatus during a previous engagement in Philadelphia.

“We trusted Fanfan due to our relationship and Gazman’s assurances. However, after transferring the $5,000, obtaining a receipt or a contract became an issue,” one of the New Jersey promoters explained. “After our payment, Fanfan became unreachable, and while our promotional efforts continue in New Jersey, we noticed conflicting advertisements in Haiti.”

It is rumored that Nu Look may favor the Haitian event, orchestrated by Radio Caraibes, possibly due to the influential nature of the media outlet and the potential repercussions of negative press in their home country. This preference has reportedly led to significant distress among the U.S. promoters, prompting them to reach out to the media in hopes of shedding light on the situation.

Attempts to contact Nu Look for comments have been unsuccessful, as key members including Gazman and Arly have not responded to inquiries. The ongoing dilemma highlights the need for clearer communication and more formalized agreements in entertainment bookings to prevent such disputes and ensure transparency and fairness for all parties involved.
