Baked Mac and Cheese for the Holidays

This mac and cheese is the ultimate comfort dish to bring to your holiday table. Creamy, cheesy, and perfectly baked, it’s the kind of recipe that makes everyone stop and ask, “Who made this?” The rich sauce, tender pasta, and golden top layer create a flavor that feels both nostalgic and unforgettable. Whether you’re feeding a crowd or adding one special dish to your family dinner, this mac and cheese will definitely steal the spotlight. Baked Mac & Cheese

  • large pot
  • 16 oz. of macaroni noodles
  • 1 cup mild cheddar
  • cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup sharp cheddar
  • cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup Monterey Jack
  • cheese (shredded)
  • ¼ cup Colby cheese
  • shredded
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • ½ stick of butter
  • salt and pepper
  1. 1 Start by washing your hands with warm water and soap for at
  2. least 20 seconds before and after handling food. Wash your
  3. cutting boards and counter tops with hot soapy water.
  4. 2 Preheat oven to 350°F.
  5. 3 Fill a large pot with 6 cups of hot water, a tablespoon of salt and
  6. bring to a boil.
  7. 4 Place macaroni into boiling water and cook for 12 minutes,
  8. remove and strain in a colander. Set aside. Return the empty pot
  9. to the stove.
  10. 5 Crack two eggs in a small bowl and mix. Wash hands with warm
  11. water and soap after handling raw eggs.
  12. 6 Place butter, eggs, ½ cup mild cheddar cheese, ¼ cups of sharp
  13. cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Colby cheeses into the empty pasta
  14. pot and mix over medium heat until slightly melted.
  15. 7 Return the macaroni noodles to the same pot and mix well until
  16. cheese is fully melted.
  17. 8 Pour the macaroni and cheese into a greased baking dish.
  18. 9 Bake for 30 minutes. Insert a cooking thermometer into the center
  19. of the macaroni and cheese. Continue baking until the internal
  20. temperature reaches 160°F. Then top with remaining shredded
  21. cheese and bake 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  22. 10 Serve immediately.
