T-Vice Mourns the Loss of a Beloved Team Member, Bouboul (T-Vice nan lapenn apre lanmò yon moun ki te trè pwòch yo, Bouboul)

OpastaffBy OpastaffApril 2, 20254 Mins Read

If you’ve followed T-Vice since its early days in the Haitian music scene, there are certain names that immediately come to mind, individuals whose presence became synonymous with the band. One of those names is Bouboul.

Whether you saw him on stage, on Carnival floats in Haiti, in music videos, or traveling the globe alongside the Martino brothers, Bouboul was more than just part of the team, he was family. So it comes as a heartbreaking shock to fans and friends alike to learn of his sudden passing.

On Monday, March 31, 2025, the T-Vice family and their fans were struck by the devastating news that Yves Marie Gracia, affectionately known as Bouboul, had passed away while in Colombia. The announcement was first shared publicly by Roberto Martino on his official Facebook page, triggering an outpouring of grief across social media platforms.

In a brief statement, Roberto shared the heartbreaking details:

“This news has completely crushed me. I found out this morning.
He had traveled to Colombia with a friend. He fell, hit his head, went to the hospital for a check-up, and they sent him back home. Later, he went to take a nap and never woke up.”

Bouboul had long been considered a vital member of the T-Vice family, part of what many fans lovingly refer to as the “Ban Dèyè.” Through decades of tours, carnivals, and performances, his loyalty, spirit, and unwavering support never went unnoticed. The Martino brothers even referred to him as a brother, a sentiment deeply felt by all who worked with and knew him.

His passing leaves a profound void in the T-Vice team and in the broader Haitian music community. He wasn’t just a staff member, he was a cornerstone of the energy, heart, and soul that traveled with the band from city to city and stage to stage.

We extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Bouboul’s family, friends, and loved ones, especially the entire T-Vice team. May his memory live on through the music and joy he helped bring to so many lives.

Mwen aprann li maten an.
Li te ale an Colombie ak yon zanmi.
