Important Announcement to Our Readers
As of February 21, 2025, OpaMusic.com will begin translating its reports into multiple languages. All articles related to the Haitian-American community will now be available in both English and Haitian Creole. In certain cases, we will also provide French translations when necessary.
This decision was made in response to the needs and feedback of our readers. Since our inception in 2004, OpaMusic.com has primarily been an English-language publication. At the time, we saw no urgent need to offer translations into Haitian Creole, as our core audience resided mainly in the United States and international readers never expressed concerns.
However, as the industry has evolved and expanded, and with the increasing presence of Haitians abroad, we recognize the necessity of broadening our platform to accommodate our growing readership. Given the rising migration of Haitian-Americans to the U.S. and the engagement of readers and influencers who do not necessarily live in the United States, we believe it is our duty to ensure our content remains accessible to everyone. Many of our readers find our stories to be informative, engaging, and culturally significant, and we want to make sure that no one is left out.
Biography Section Relaunch
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that our biography section, dedicated to Haitian musicians, is now back online. We have taken the time to revamp and expand this section, adding numerous new biographies and updated information.
If you are an artist, or if you know of an artist who is not yet listed, please feel free to submit their details to us via email at opastaff@opamusic.com. The submission does not need to be perfect, as our editorial team will review, edit, and publish it.
