Gazzman: His new plan to save his musical career, after Dano’s departure from the group Disip

In a Facebook post, Dano, the pianist of the group DISIP, confirmed the rumor that had been circulating for weeks between him and Disip, because after the summer tour in Haiti, many members of Disip complained about not being paid.

On Sunday, September 6th, DISIP had a show to perform at 1st Klass Cafe in Miami, Dano had sent a message to the band’s management to inform them if he was not fully compensated for the summer tour, he would not be present at the show. Thus, the band’s management quickly resolved the issue with him.

After this event, rumors began to circulate that DISIP was looking for another pianist to replace Dano. Our sources informed us that, during the event of that same Sunday, Gazzman had asked Dobodo, who had left the group for the same problem, to return to take his place within the group.

Dano, knowing that DISIP was looking for a replacement, decided to resign, before being fired:

“I would like to take the time to inform you that I am no longer in the band DISIP. I plan to continue producing great music for you all. At this time, I do not want to discuss why my employment with DISIP is coming to an end. Please do not take this as an insult, but try to respect my wishes. Know that I appreciate your love and support. I promise that I will keep you updated on everything. Remember, music is love and love is life. Therefore, music is life. Stay tuned for my next journey in music. I love you all!”

Jimmy Danger who was the conga player quit because he was not paid for the 2015 Haiti tour. A musician who wishes to remain anonymous played for the band Disip for $150 a night 2 months ago, has still not been paid. Disip will only perform if his management gets the money. The question remains why do so many musicians quit because they don’t get paid?

Now with Dano’s resignation there are rumors circulating about the future of the group Disip. The name “Disip” may change. Gazzman is trying to recruit 2 big artists from the Haitian Music Industry (HMI), Dener Ceide and Nickenson Prudhomme, to partner with him. However neither party has confirmed.
