“Jean-Michel Daudier was born in Les Cayes , Haiti. This singer/songwriter, who performs in French, English, Spanish and Creole is one of Haiti’s best known and loved entertainers . His songs uplifted and mobilized thousands of Haitians at home and abroad during the country’s most recent revolution. The New York Times said of his exciting music and performance at the Victory Celebration, “the jubilant crowd jumped to their feet as he played, joining in a mighty chorus of ten thousand voices.”He currently has two CDs available in the Haitian market, and is looking to expand is audience to the rest of the world. Now residing in Florida, where he performs every weekend, the multifaceted performer on guitar, synthesizer, and piano, can perform as a solo act or with an ensemble or orchestra. He released two critically acclaimed albums in Haiti entitled Soley La and Diaspora. His latest CD, Nou Tout Samble (We All Look the Same) was produced in Guadeloupe and will be released this fall in twenty-five French speaking countries. His latest work encompasses a variety of styles including “Dance All Night,” which combines a Haitian beat with a Latin flavor; and “Living Together,” a soulful, romantic rumba. Jean-Michel currently resides in Miami, Florida, after ten years in New York City. He has also performed throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and Europe as a solo artist and with such well-known bands as Tabou Combo, Skah shah, and System Band. In New York, he performed at many venues including the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Newark Symphony Hall, as well as Haitian and World Music clubs such as SOB (Sounds of Brazil). You can hear him in the South Florida area at various clubs, concerts, and festivals.
